Monica Espino concentrates her practice in civil litigation, including commercial, real estate and employment litigation matters before state and federal courts. Shehas litigated real estate and commercial disputes for lenders, condominium associations, businesses, landlords, tenants, realtors, contractors, and developers. In addition, Ms. Espino has represented employers seeking to protect trade secrets, and enforce non-compete agreements against former employees, or seeking to defend lawsuits by employees alleging claims of discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, failure to pay overtime or other wage claims before state and federal agencies, and state and federal courts. Ms. Espino also handles numerous types of real estate transactions, including commercial and residential purchase and sale transactions, leases, and loan agreements, and is an authorized title insurance agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. As a Florida Supreme Court certified circuit civil court mediator, she is also available to mediate all types ofreal estate, commercial, and employment disputes.

Ms. Espino is a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Project for the Southern District of Florida, a member agent of Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund Services, LLC, National Hispanic Association of Real Estate Professionals, and Educate Tomorrow.

Education / Bar / Court Admissions

Ms. Espino received her Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in English and International Affairs from the Florida State University, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2004, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
